About the host- Oded Ben Ami

Oded Ben Ami was born in 1952.

Ben Ami began his journalist way as a reporter for army and security issues. He worked in several famous Israeli radio stations such as the IDF Radio (Galei Tzhal) and The Voice of Israel (Kol Israel).

He was Yitshak Rabin’s media advisor in the years 1992-1996 and in 1996 he became the IDF spokesman.

He left the army in 2001 and joined the Channel 2 news staff where he began hosting the daily news show – “Six with…”.

Ben Ami is married to the sculptor Orna Ben Ami and is a father of three. Among his children is the children’s writer – Yuval Ben Ami.
